About

During a time of mass extinctions, animal conservation is preventing and often reversing inevitabilities. Behind many endangered species are stories of dedicated scientists and committed activists working to prevent population decline.  The existence of  the California Condor, or Whooping Crane are evidence of  human efforts. My art is a dedicated to those efforts, and a tribute to the survival of the animal.

The highly textured surface of my art is achieved via layering. Drawings and paintings are integrated with media  such as latex that can be painted and torn away. The process produces an irregular lace-like surface reflecting the fragility and temporal circumstances of each animals’ survival.

30% of all money raised from the sale of this work is donated to targeted conservation efforts. Contact me for further information. Limited edition signed prints are available.

As a native Chicagoan, Pam is currently creating a series of images dedicated to twelve priority animals in the Great Lakes Area. Check out her gallery.
